It is important for parents to speak to their children about bullying and fighting and develop a plan of action in case a situation arises. Teachers should also address the issue with their students.Action should be taken against the bully as well. Counseling may be needed to uncover the root of the problem and the bully’s parents will need to be notified of the situation. It is very common for parents to be in denial regarding the actions of their children. Sometimes, it is also discovered that the bully is displaying behavior that they learned in their home. Therefore, it is imperative that the student is dealt with immediately, so that the other students will remain safe.
