10. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
is the tenth game release in the Metroid series, the fifth title in the Metroid Prime sub-series, and the third in the Metroid Prime trilogy, taking place shortly after the events of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, being the next significant episode in the career of Samus Aran. This game is in development for the Wii, from Nintendo, by Retro Studios. It was originally a launch title, intended to come out in the fourth quarter of 2006.



9. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
known in Japan as Dairantō Smash Brothers X (大乱闘 スマッシュ ブラザーズ X, Dairantō Sumasshu Burazāzu Ekkusu?, lit. "Great Fray Smash Brothers X"), is a fighting game for Nintendo's newest console, the Wii. The third iteration of the Super Smash Bros. series. Brawl is the first Super Smash Bros. game that features at least one character from a franchise not owned by Nintendo with the inclusion of Solid Snake from Konami's Metal Gear series. Its official trailer was first unveiled at E³ 2006. It is currently slated for release sometime in 2007



8. Mass Effect
is an action role-playing game under development by BioWare exclusively for the Xbox 360. Its exact release date is not yet known, but it will be the first installment of a planned trilogy. The game takes place in the year 2183, with the player assuming the role of an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard. The story revolves around an ancient alien prophecy stating that, every fifty thousand years, machines come to the galaxy to harvest all organic life, and the time of their return is approaching. As the first human Spectre – sworn defenders of galactic peace – Shepard's mission is to halt the advancing armies of a legendary agent gone rogue. Shepard will lead an elite team across hostile alien worlds and discover that the true threat is far greater than anyone imagined.



7. Crysis
is an upcoming sci-fi first-person shooter computer game that is currently in production by German developer Crytek. Crytek is best known for the 2004 shooter Far Cry that was released for Windows.



6. BioShock
is a video game in development by Irrational Games, for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. It is described by the developers as a "spiritual successor" to their previous PC title System Shock 2. It has been in development since late 2004 (and in planning for some time before that). On January 9, 2006, Take-Two Interactive announced that they had acquired Irrational Games, and would be publishing BioShock under their 2K Games publishing label, "planned for release in early 2007". The game will be an Xbox 360 and Windows XP/Vista title only. The announced release date is reported as August 21, 2007 in North America and August 24, 2007 in Europe.



5. Grand Theft Auto IV
(also known as GTA IV) is the upcoming eleventh installment of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, announced for release by Rockstar Games on October 16, 2007 in the United States for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rockstar have confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV will run on the RAGE game engine, the same engine that powered Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis. The game is being written by Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser. GTA IV has been nominated for a 2006 Golden Joystick Award in the One To Watch For 2007 category.



4. Super Mario Galaxy
is a video game for the Wii developed by Nintendo and will be released in 2007.[1] It will be the 3rd main 3D Mario game released. The game was announced at Nintendo's press conference at E3 on May 9, 2006.



3. Metal Gear Solid 4
Guns of the Patriots (commonly abbreviated to MGS4) is a forthcoming stealth-based game directed by Hideo Kojima and Shuyo Murata. Guns of the Patriots is currently being developed by Kojima Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 3 video game console. It might be the last iteration in the best-selling Metal Gear Solid series. The game uses the motto "No Place to Hide!", and is being developed with the central theme of "Sense".



2. Assassin's Creed
is a video game currently in development by Ubisoft Montreal slated for release between 2007 and early 2008. The game takes place during the Third Crusade, exact year 1191. The gamer plays as a member of the assassin sect Hashshashin known as Altaïr (الطائر, Arabic, "The flying" eagle), whose objective is to assassinate the nine historical figures who are propagating the Crusades, and the suffering of the people. As the gamer finds and kills these targets, their conspiracy is unveiled. The player will be able to travel through three cities, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus.



1. Halo 3
the third game in the best-selling Xbox game franchise Halo, is a highly-anticipated first-person shooter video game under development by Bungie Studios for the Xbox 360 and is expected to "set a new high water mark" for next-generation games. An official announcement on the developers' website states that Halo 3 will end the current story arc of the Halo trilogy. A beta test of the multi-player component of the game is scheduled to be available in the 2nd quarter of 2007. The final version of the game is due to be released in 4th quarter 2007.
