The Caparo T1 is a £210,000 street legal racer offering Formula One levels of performance. Extremely light and powerful it will accelerate to 100 mph in under 5 seconds and corner at speeds unheard of in previous road going cars. Jason Plato takes it to the track to give his view on a vehicle that redefines the word 'extreme'.
The Caparo T1 is a British mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-seater, open-wheel car built by Caparo Vehicle Technologies, (formally known as Freestream), founded by Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead, former engineers involved in the development of the McLaren F1. The T1 was inspired by Formula One design, and intended as an affordable street legal race car.
