Korean Scientists Clone Cats Glowing In Dark
South Korean scientists have cloned cats by manipulating a fluorescent protein gene, a procedure which could help develop treatments for human genetic diseases. In a side-effect, the cloned cats glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet beams.
A team of scientists led by Kong Il-keun at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, cloned the cats after manipulating a gene to change their skin colour.
The fluffy white Turkish Angora cats now glow red when exposed to ultraviolet light and the scientists believe the process could be used to develop treatments for a range of genetic illnesses.
The technology can also help clone endangered animals like tigers, leopards and wildcats.

Illy Cafe In Shipping Container
For some time, designers, architects and builders all over the world have tinkered with the idea of turning excess standard shipping containers into living quarters.
With the push of a button, the house opens in 90 seconds like a flower and transforms from a compact container into a fully furnished and functional space with a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, living room and library. All materials used in the Biennale house were recyclable or recycled.
Holiday shoppers milling about the Time Warner Center in New York will have a fabulous chance to experience one of these soon.
Between November 28 and December 29, 2007, they can rest, relax and sip a perfect cup of illy espresso in one of Kalkin’s creations, the temporary Push Button House cafe that the Trieste, Italy-based illycaffè will install there.

Starfish Robot Able To Walk Itself
The Starfish Robot was developed by Josh Bongard, Victor Zykov, and Hod Lipson of Cornell University.
While most robots operate using a computer model they have been programmed with, this one develops its own model by analyzing how its parts respond to commands to move.
The Starfish robot able to responds to environment and adapts to injury. When the researchers shortened one of the robot's legs and it responded by changing its gait. Means it still able to walk with three legs even the fourth was lost.
